Residential Treatment & Supports for Independent Living

Our main work is residential treatment and life skills work with Children's Services clients who have experienced trauma and attachment issues in their lives.  The counseling happens very intrinsically. . . not just in a formal one hour counseling session once a week, but also in the the teachable moments in every day life.  So having a therapist on site (almost always) is a huge benefit to the clients here.  Wendy has a Master's degree in Counseling and is a Canadian Certified Counselor with the CCPA (Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association.)  She does both Equine Assisted Counseling and traditional talk therapy.  The program is for 16 - 18 year old youths and also teaches the practical life skills necessary to be effective in their lives.  Each client has a "horse of their own" during their stay at the ranch and they learn a great deal of responsibility while participating in life at the ranch.  We have come alongside many, many youth in our 13 years at the ranch and helped in turning a lot of lives around.  For further information and intake forms, please contact Wendy at (403) 895-6995.
